To mitigate the risk of transmission of COVID-19 at AKR we have put the following measures in place:

The number of drivers allowed on the premises at any one time will be limited to 15, until restrictions are eased further. 

Drivers are allowed in the reception area and equipment room, spectators are welcome to watch the track from outside, there are loads of great spots to view the track from! Parents/carers assisting drivers to get ready are also welcome in the reception building and equipment room.

Upon entry to the reception building a staff member will take your temperature and ask you to put on a face covering – either a mask, buff, or balaclava, whatever you prefer. Your face covering only needs to be worn whilst you are in the reception area and equipment room. Kids aged 5 and under are not required to wear a face covering.

We request that all drivers use their own gloves and balaclava. You can bring your own or purchase them at the track. Gloves £1 per pair, budget balaclava £1.50 or logo printed balaclava £2.50.

Drivers are welcome to use their own full-faced helmets.

All drivers are asked to keep their helmet on whilst they are in the pits, in order to protect each other and our staff.

All of our driving suits and helmets are disinfected after each use in our new, specialised ozone disinfecting room.

Surfaces, handles, toilets, sinks, keyboards etc etc are disinfected at regular intervals throughout the day, karts are wiped down with disinfectant after each use. Hand washing and sanitising facilities are freely available to customers and staff.
